ABGC and Annandale City FC Announce Partnership to Bring UPSL Soccer to Annandale in Fall 2025
ANNANDALE, VA – May 2025 – The Annandale Boys & Girls Club (ABGC) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Annandale City Football Club to launch a United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) program in Annandale, Virginia, starting in Fall 2025. This collaboration marks a major step forward in providing elite, nationally competitive soccer opportunities for youth in the region.
Founded in 2011, the UPSL is the largest and most competitive pro-development league in North America, now boasting nearly 400 clubs across the country. Positioned in the fourth tier of the U.S. Soccer pyramid, the UPSL bridges the gap between youth and professional soccer, giving thousands of aspiring players and coaches a platform to develop and compete at a high level.
Through this partnership, ABGC will form elite teams in the U13–U19 age groups to compete in the UPSL Academy League, while continuing their strong presence in the NCSL and EDP leagues. This initiative not only elevates the level of competition for Annandale-area athletes but also revitalizes the local soccer scene with a pathway to national exposure.

Tryouts for the 2025/26 ABGC UPSL Academy teams will be held at Annandale High School on Fridays: May 9, 16, and 30.
